The Warehouse III position reports directly to a Storekeeper II. Resolves complex discrepancies or difficulties performs heavy labor in loading and unloading trucks drive vehicles including small box trucks, vans, forklifts and RV’s deliver supplies, mail, furniture, equipment and other items from County agencies/departments apply standardized supply practices and procedures, fill orders from standard stock items and enter stock into inventory records maintain and repair property, equipment and furniture in facilities and to do other work as assigned. Under general supervision, the WW III orders supplies, including technical items and special orders, maintains proper stock levels in a large warehouse maintains records of supplies received and issued. This position requires unskilled and semiskilled maintenance and repair work of County facilities. In addition, the position requires driving 2 to 3 days per week to various SSA facilities. The Warehouse Worker III (WW III) performs work which requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment in the maintenance of a large warehouse as well as the inventory required under normal as well as emergency situations.
